Retrofit Your Existing Driveway with Radiant Heat

Snowmelt Systems are Installed with Ease Under Asphalt

Retrofitting your driveway with an electric heated driveway does not have to intimidate you or scare you away from the dream of having a driveway snow melting system. Asphalt driveways can easily be retrofitted with a driveway heating system designed by Warmzone. The heating cables can be placed beneath most existing surfaces. Using “saw-cut” technology, your existing asphalt driveway can be “sliced” in a grid pattern designed specifically to place radiant heat cables in the grooves. The heat cables are then laid in the sliced channels and covered back up with a thin layer of more asphalt to match your existing driveway. You also have the option of simply laying out the heat cable and then adding a new surface of asphalt directly on top of the cable.

Many homeowners are finding that driveway heating is a welcome addition to their property. Snowmelt systems are not a major remodel project due to the ease of retrofitting the system beneath your existing paved drives. Driveway heating saves time and physical pain because it does all the dirty work for you. You can also install a snowmelt system in your entry walk ways and surrounding sidewalks. You can retrofit snow melting systems beneath most surfaces. You’ll see that waking up to a clear driveway is worth its weight in gold. You’ll find it especially satisfying as you drive out of your neighborhood watching all your poor neighbors fighting the previous night’s snowstorm before they can leave their house for the day.

Driveway Heating Done Right

January 28, 2011 00:01 AM  BY  JEN HALLAM

Automatically Clear Snow from Drives and Sidewalks

In life there is typically a right way and a wrong way to get things done. Often we find that the right way is the hardest way and then sometimes we are surprised to find that the right way can be the most simple. Driveway heating is one of those cases. Radiant heated driveway systems are designed to ad comfort and ease to your life. Heated driveways automatically clear snow and when done right are the easiest way to combat winter and all the snow that comes with it.

Driveway heating is becoming more popular as snow storms continue to pummel our country. Snow fall records are broken time and again and each year several people try to clear their driveways the hard way: a shovel or blower and some raw strength. There are often injuries associated with these methods, making winter seem cruel and unforgiving. People with driveway heating systems are doing it right and enjoy the luxury of automatic heat delivered to their driveways via radiant heating cables and sensors that detect when to activate the system. Shoveling may not necessarily be the out and out wrong way to handle snow, but it sure seems one of the hardest. Consider a radiant heated driveway and do snow removal right and automatic.

Heated Driveways Ease the Pain

January 14, 2011 00:01 AM  BY  BENSON RICKS

No More Snow Related Headaches or Backaches

We’re all reading about the weather around the nation and the incapacitating effects it has been having on the people in those snow-stricken areas. There are products out there – other than snow shovels - that can greatly reduce the headaches and backaches that come with incessant, heavy snowfall. Shoveling snow from the driveway.Fully automated radiant heated driveways are the cure for the winter blues. Once a heated driveway is installed you will be able to wake up to a clean, ice-free driveway. No shoveling, no harsh snow melting chemicals, and none of the frustrations that go along with manual snow removal. It’s one less chore and one less thing to worry about during the cold winter months.

Electric heated driveway systems utilize a grid of heat cable within the driveway surface (including concrete, asphalt, pavers, etc.) that is connected to a sensor that detects snowfall. It will sense temperature conditions and precipitation and signal the controller, activating the system only when it is needed. So you’re free to go about your days (and nights) without worrying about turning the system on or predicting when the next snow storm will hit. How nice would it be to wake up to a spanking clean driveway the morning after a large snow storm?

Check out the custom snowmelt solutions that are available from Warmzone. With the top engineers and system designers to the preeminent products and services, Warmzone is the answer for Mother Nature’s cold-handed winter tactics.
